Lacey's Lathers - Hi! Three weeks ago I was not able to attended market as I was at the Wisconsin State Fair.  It was my first time attending the fair as an exhibitor and I was the first exhibitor from Iowa County to ever show goats at the Wisconsin State Fair.  I recieved a Blue in Showmanship. I was very happy!  I showed Laura, she is a 2 year old Lacey daughter. Laura won her class and went back in the ring to try to win Grade Champion, She did!!!! I was thrilled!!!  At the end of the day all 8 of the breed champions competed for the over all Best Goat of the Show... LAURA WON!!!!!! I was soooo excited.  She had beaten 200 goats!  For the past 7 years that I have been showing goats I have been working toward that award.  I was amazed that my crossbred goat beat out all those registered goats to win. Stop by my booth and see the pictures.  If you would like to purchase my soap when I am not at market feel free to email me at tncnnbc@mhtc.net or call me at 608-987-2027. Shooting Star Farms - We’ll have a few new items this week including green beans and cilantro. It looks like we’ll have a few radishes as well. Our tomato selection will include some red and orange romas, some small mixed heirloom varieties, and just a few regular red slicing tomatoes. Our red tomatoes have not tolerated the diseases that are spread by rains. However, we did put in a small late planting. It’s possible we’ll have more red tomatoes in a week or two. Until then, try some romas or heirlooms instead. We should have lots of red peppers, Swiss chard, kale, beets, carrots, and eggplant. The salad mix will continue to be in short supply. It may take a few weeks to catch up from the washout rains. We may also have some small heads of lettuce this week. It looks to be a beautiful weekend. See you Saturday!  Rink, Jenny & Charlie.  starfarm@mhtc.net
